The Stitch Ledger keeps a reserved editorial address, contact@crochet1-2-3.com. Reception of incoming mail at that address is not yet active, so nothing sent there can be received at present. The address is set aside for two purposes: questions about articles on crochet basics, pattern reading, back issue guides and charity crochet, and reports of errors found in any published article.

What a useful message will include

For when reception opens, it helps to prepare a message that lands clearly. Include the URL or the title of the article in question, the line or paragraph concerned, and, where one applies, the source a claim should be checked against. A correction might concern a stitch count, a yarn weight, an abbreviation or a charity size request. Article questions might cover how a pattern step is written or how a guide describes gauge. The more precise the message, the easier it will be to connect it to the right page.

Two pages worth checking first

Two existing pages often answer the need without any mail. The crochet basics page covers stitches, gauge and pattern terms for beginners and returning crocheters. The pattern corrections page lists fixes already made to published articles, so an error may already be recorded there. The editorial address does not handle magazine sales, subscriptions, back issue recovery or personal crochet help.
